Christmas Lunch 2016 - 9th December 2016
Today we had our annual school Christmas lunch, it was so much fun to enjoy a meal with all of our friends and teachers. After lunch we made a trip down to the Chelsea Methodist Church to give some food and clothes to the people who aren't as fortunate as we are.
Winter Wonderland 2016 - 22 November 2016
Today we visited London's Hyde Park for a day out at Winter Wonderland! We had lots of fun on the rides and roller coasters, we visited Santa at his grotto and shopped for some Christmas gifts in the Angel Markets ... It was such a great day out!
School Visit from Jack the Chelsea Pensioner - 9 November 2016
Today we had a special visitor in school, Jack came down from the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the Chelsea Pensioners. He spoke to us all about the poppy appeal and even showed us some of the medals he had earned as a soldier!!!
5km Sponsored Run, Walk or Cycle - Hyde Park 2016 - 29 September 2016
On a day of classically unpredictable British weather we donned our running gear, and raincoats, and set out to Hyde Park for our annual 5km Sponsored run, walk or cycle event. Each and every child outshone themselves this year as independently they conquered their own physical difficulties to cross the finish line at the Princess Diana Memorial Playground.
Kidzania - 10th March 2016
Today we spent a fun-filled day learning what it will be like 'When I Grow Up' by visiting Kidzania at Westfield London. We learned about making smart choices, getting jobs and earning money!!!

Hyde Park Sponsored 5km Walk, Run & Cycle - 17 September 2015
A huge well done to everyone today as we completed our charity 5km run, walk and cycle through London's Hyde Park. Raising money for a great cause, we even had time to stop and feed the ducks! Great effort from everybody.
Clip 'n' Climb Rock Climbing - 11 June 2015
Today we took to the walls! Climbing is so much fun, there were ladders, obstacles and many more fun things to climb up and over. We had such a great day out!!!
Battersea Park Zoo - 07 May 2015
Today we walked to Battersea Park and enjoyed a fun day out with all of the animals at the zoo. We were learning about occupations and we met a real life zookeeper.

Sports Day/Family Fun Day - 10 July 2014
This year we held our Sports and Family Fun Day here at Frederick Hugh House. We had lots of fun showing off our sporting prowess to friends and family before kicking back and having fun with carnival games, bouncy castles, ball pools, sweet treats and even an animal show!!!
Siblings Day - 22 March 2014
On Saturday morning our students, along with their brothers and sisters, visited our school to celebrate our annual Sibling’s Day. This provides our students with an opportunity to showcase their school as well as allowing for siblings to interact and engage with other. Together they participated in a Physical Education, Art, and Cooking lesson, as well as visiting the interactive Journey Room and enjoying the many playground activities provided. The students also got to share cuddling the chicks with their siblings! It was another successful and fun-filled Sibling’s Day!
World Book Day (Waterstones Visit) - 6 March 2014
In celebration of World book Day this year, we went to Waterstones book shop on the Kings Road and had a great story-telling session with one of the ladies who helped to organise the event. To add even more excitement to the day, everyone got the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character!
Winter Wonderland - 5 December 2013
As a part of our Christmas celebrations, we went to the Winter Wonderland Fair at Hyde Park. We did lots of fun things during the day. Some of these things included walking around the Christmas stalls, going on some very exciting rides and having a group photo with Father Christmas!
Hyde Park Sponsored Walk in aid of Wetwheels Foundation - 26 September 2013
In September of 2013, our students and staff participated in a sponsored fun walk around London’s Hyde Park in order to raise money for a charity titled ‘Wetwheels’. We earned over 2500 pounds for the charity thanks to our generous donors! Not only did our children raise money for Wetwheels, they also completed a 5K walk. We stopped along the way to feed the ducks and play at the Princess Diana Memorial Park.
Wetwheels is run by Geoff Holt, who was paralysed during a swimming accident in 1984. He now uses the money raised to take children and adults with disabilities and difficulties out on his boat. His boat is specially designed for wheelchairs.
Sports Day/Family Fun Day - 11 July 2013
At our annual Sports and Family Fun Day the children demonstrated their sporting prowess in team relays, a game of jump rope and several groups games involving their parents and siblings. After all of the presentations were done, the children celebrated the academic year with face painting, balloon making, whole body bubbles and a jumping castle.
Halloween Party - 20 October 2011
We celebrated Halloween by hosting a Spooky Halloween Party! All the staff and students dressed in costume for the occasion. Students from a local mainstream primary school joined in the scary celebrations to support our inclusion policy. We had a cooking session with the Occupational and Speech and Language Therapist, and made ‘creepy critters’ using cookie cutters and different vegetables and dips to create them! We also danced the ‘Skeleton Dance’ that we have been practising with the Physiotherapist. The finale was a visit from Animal Magic who brought in snakes, spiders, owls and many more creatures for us to hold and touch.
The Gruffalo - 14 July 2011
Our end of the year Drama Production was ‘The Gruffalo’. All the children dressed up as the Gruffalo and presented this production to their parents and families. The children’s hard work paid off in their beautiful singing. This was followed by a Gruffalo tea party for the children.
The Ugly Bug Ball - April 2011
We nurtured caterpillars in a collapsible habitat and watched them grow into beautiful butterflies. Our friends from Christchurch joined us for an ugly bug ball. We enjoyed lots of mini beast activities and finished the day with a butterfly releasing ceremony.
Community Police Visit - 24 March 2011
PSCO Steve the local police officer visited the school with Hayley our community police officer. The children were very excited to meet him, shake hands and learn about our community.
Chick Hatching - March 2011
We had 10 Embryo eggs delivered in an incubator 2-3 days from hatching. A Brooder box was provided which allowed the teachers and children easy observation and access to the chicks. The children enjoy watching the chicks grow and playing with them. We invited our friends from other schools to play with the chicks with us. Although after three weeks the chicks can either be kept or returned, this time one of our parents kept them all.
Logically Illogical - 15 December 2010
Frederick Hugh House hosted a talk by Roz Blackburn entitled ‘Logically Illogical’. Ros Blackburn is an adult with autism. The talk was attended by other schools and interested parties in the community.
Clapham Pottery - 3 November 2010
Our children enjoyed two mornings at Clapham Pottery where children are taught how to make and decorate pieces using a range of different techniques. They are encouraged to use their own ideas and create their own unique pottery piece. They all produced some beautiful masterpieces.
Richmond Park - 12 October 2010
The school went on an extra physical outing to Richmond Park. The children took the opportunity to kick through piles of leaves, run along the windy paths, roll in the grass and climb tree stumps. We went on a treasure hunt to find as many different animals as possible, there were lots!
Chessington Adventure Park - 5 July 2010
The children enjoyed a fun day out at Chessington Adventure Park. We visited the zoo, explored the sea life and visited the theme parks where all the children and staff enjoyed the many rides on offer.
Strictly Dance Workshop with Anton du Beke - 15 May 2010
We were delighted to welcome Anton du Beke and children from local schools who joined us for a ‘Strictly Dance Workshop’. All the children had a wonderful time and Anton showed us that it is not as easy as it looks on TV.
